ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Nursery

Thomas Guggenheim, PhD
Owner, ISA Certified Arborist (IN-3447A)

We provide native trees (some non-invasive/non-native trees) and shrubs using a patented system (US Patent 9,414,547, Aug 16, 2016) to grow a containerized plant with a superior root structure in local soil, resulting in a low mortality rate after planting and rapid growth. Planting native species is essential for the restoration wildlife, providing food for animals, and insects that are essential for birds.  Plants are guaranteed for 2 years if cared for properly.

We provide expertise before and after planting with 20,000 plants in stock (80 species of native trees, 28 species of native shrubs, 23 species of non-native but naturalized trees).  Trees are 2 feet to 6 feet in height, shrubs are 1 foot to 5 feet in height and sold October through April (when dormant or pre-bud break).  Plants are currently $15 to $35 each (plus tax).  Posey County has 17 native oaks, the most important tree for wildlife, and all are in stock.  Even if you have a small area, plant native species!
